Evergreen Plants
Botanically, plants are a major group of about
300,000 living organisms and include trees, shrubs,
flowers, herbs, ferns and grasses.
The Evergreen Plant section covers those
species commonly referred to as 'plants'. Mostly
differentiated from trees and shrubs by smaller less
woody form. Typically grown for their ornamental value in
gardens and parks these plants provide diverse
possibilities of use for year round enjoyment. Uses
include mass planting and ground cover whilst specimens
provide structure and interest in the borders.
Feature items such as planters, tubs and
pots filled with evergreen plants provide long term
attractive, easily managed enhancements for any outdoor
area that would otherwise be dull and lifeless in
winter.
