really a fir, it is commonly named Douglas-Fir, with the hyphen
reflecting its non-fir status. It is has a very characteristic
form and maintains a symmetrical contour from the bottom to the
top. They grow exceedingly thick and are a great option if you

the winter months are most appropriate in areas with plenty of
wind. The Douglas fir does on the other hand grow enormously
huge and can attain 330 feet (100 meters). IT does nevertheless

The Leyland
Cypress Cupressocyparis Leylandii The
Leyland cypress qualifies as a fast growing evergreen tree, if
not an exceptionally fast growing tree. They are

individuals right to light and height restrictions are imposed
and enforced. A person has the right to legally cut his
neighbours intruding Leyland Cypress down to size and of course
cut away all of the growth extending over his boundary,
although this leaves a visually awful appearance!
